High Value Residential Insurance Inspector

Signature is looking to add a Field Consultant for the following counties: Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Dauphin.

We are looking for self‑starting, self‑motivated and self‑directed independent contractors (1099) to work in an area of their choosing near their residence. This position can supplement your current income or become your main source of income.

Experience in Real Estate, Insurance Adjusting, Construction or Home Appraisals is a plus. Experience using CAD, Rapid Sketch, Xactimate or another diagramming program will be helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on‑site high‑value property surveys.
• Coordinate and complete surveys within your own schedule, manage accepted assignments, and complete web‑based reports timely.
• Visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note issues for underwriter review.
• Use the loss control 360 platform accessed through the Signature website to communicate findings.

Details of Position

• Work from your home office.
• Interact professionally over phone, email, and in‑person with homeowners and insurance agents.
• Drive to and conduct on‑site property surveys on high‑value homes per customer‑specific guidelines and procedures.
• Identify and document construction materials, characteristics, and unique features of the home.
• Obtain measurements of the home and other structures on the property.
• Generate an estimated replacement value of the home and identify major hazards.

Requirements and Tools Needed

• High level of professionalism.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must have a smartphone, tablet, and Windows‑based PC.
• High‑speed internet, digital camera or smartphone with ≥16 MP camera, measuring devices such as laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel.
• A late‑model reliable vehicle with auto and general liability insurance.
• BA or BS degree desired but not required.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes desirable.
• Loss control experience desirable.
• Prior underwriting experience desirable.
• Construction experience desired but not required.
