Job summary

Miraterra in Ames, Iowa is seeking a Laboratory Technician for our Soil Analysis Production team. You will prepare soil slurry, perform sub-sampling for various measurements, and help keep equipment and workspace clean and organized.

This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced lab. You will work with a collaborative team of agriculture, analytics, and biology experts to support high-throughput processing and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in pipetting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Detail-oriented and reliable.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a lab environment.
• Ability to stand for long hours (up to 10 hours/day).
• Maintain an organized/clean workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-throughput soil sample processing (sample preparation).
• Comply with safety and company practices.
• Process soil samples according to customer orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure integrity of samples.
