Job summary

Monticello High School in Charlottesville, Virginia is seeking an Assistant Wrestling Coach to support our wrestling program. This part-time role involves after-school and weekend duties with travel to matches as needed.

The coach will develop athletes, reinforce sportsmanship, and collaborate with staff to run effective practices. Qualifications include knowledge of VHSL rules, experience coaching, and the ability to engage and mentor high school athletes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations.
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes.
• Ability to organize and prepare practice schedules.
• Previous coaching experience is required.
• Preference for candidates eligible for a Virginia teaching license.

Responsibilities

• Duties after school and on weekends.
• Regular travel with student-athletes to matches.
• Daily interaction with student-athletes, coaches, and parents.
• Maintain positive relations with the school and community.
• Support coaching staff as needed.
