Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a District of Columbia teaching license or eligibility.
• Master’s degree preferred with 3+ years of full-time teaching experience.
• Two years of verifiable teaching experience as a teacher of record.
• One year as a support teacher and enrollment in a teacher education or certification program.
• Commitment to meeting the needs of a diverse urban population.
• Strong knowledge of pedagogy and constructivist teaching; include DC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach World Language to high school students and collaborate with staff and Principal.
• Plan long-range curriculum, units, and semester syllabi aligned to standards.
• Differentiate instruction for IEPs and ELLs; provide accommodations.
• Develop and display student work; plan exhibitions with families and community.
• Participate in weekly professional development and team activities.
