Job summary

Guadalupe Centers Charter Schools High School is seeking a knowledgeable Weightlifting Coach to lead and supervise the district’s weightlifting program. This stipend-based extracurricular role focuses on structured instruction, safety, and student development in strength and conditioning.

The coach reports to the Athletic Director and adheres to GCCS policies and Missouri requirements, fostering a positive, inclusive environment and promoting healthy training habits among student-athletes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A bachelor's degree in physical education or related field preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with middle/high school students preferred.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR and AED certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise weightlifting practices and conditioning sessions.
• Instruct proper weightlifting techniques and safety procedures.
• Develop age- and ability-appropriate strength activities.
• Supervise students to ensure safety and proper equipment use.
• Maintain supervision and documentation for program activities.
• Ensure inclusion and equitable treatment for all students.
