Job summary

Prep Academy Tutors provides in-home and online tutoring to students in Boulder & Jefferson Counties, delivering personalized programs from kindergarten through 12th grade. They seek experienced tutors who can teach Geometry 1A through Calculus 1B and Statistics 1B, with a focus on individualized approaches and strong customer service.

Qualified applicants have a bachelor’s degree and either a Colorado teaching certificate or are pursuing one, plus teaching experience or related university

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required.
  • Colorado State teaching certificate or equivalent or pursuing certificate.
  • Two+ years classroom teaching experience preferred.
  • Experience as lecturer/course instructor at a U.S. university is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support based on the state curriculum.
  • Provide supplemental assignments to promote understanding.
  • Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
  • Communicate with parents about student progress.

Prep Academy Tutors is a private in-home and online tutoring company. We deliver flexible and personalized tutoring programs to our Boulder & Jefferson Counties students. We specialize in all subject areas and cater to kindergarten to grade 12 students. We hire only the best-certified teachers and Subject Matter Experts or those completing their degree in Education and pay higher wages than the industry average.

We are looking for experienced upper-level math tutors and teachers who can teach Geometry 1A through Calculus 1B and Statistics 1B.
Job Summary
  • Provide academic support to students based on expertise and knowledge of the state curriculum.
  • Provide supplemental assignments to students to help promote a greater understanding of the material.
  • Provide remedial and enrichment support for students.
  • Communicate with parents or guardians to discuss student progress.
  • Provide a customized approach tailored to the individual needs of each student.
Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for teachers, subject matter experts (Masters Students, PhD Students, Engineers, etc) or soon-to-be teachers who can meet the following criteria:

Requirements

A qualified applicant will have a bachelor’s degree and will also meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • You hold a valid Colorado State teaching certificate or the equivalent thereof
  • You are a current student teacher pursuing a teaching certificate
  • You have two or more years of experience as a private or charter school classroom teacher.
  • You have experience as a lecturer/course instructor at an accredited U.S. University or College
  • You are a Master's/PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at an accredited U.S. University or College
