Job summary

The Martha O'Bryan Center is seeking a part-time Tutor for the High School Academic Student Union, located at Stratford High School in Nashville. You will provide hands-on academic support, homework help, and ACT/test prep daily while offering enrichment in arts, technology, health, and leadership.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree or enrollment in a degree program, and experience with high school students is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or current enrollment in a bachelor’s program.
• Experience working with high school students preferred.
• Ability to work in a busy, sometimes noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on academic assistance to students daily.
• Provide homework help, foundational support, and test prep daily.
• Instruct and implement daily curriculum in specified subjects and ACT prep.
• Provide enrichment opportunities in arts, music, technology, health/wellness, social-emotional learning, leadership and service.
• Help students reach individual goals.
• Provide trainings and seminars to students, classes, and the community.
• Assist with college visits and field trips as needed.
