KIPP NYC is seeking teachers to motivate and educate students, developing both academic and character skills for a rigorous college preparatory education. You will work within a mission‑driven team, providing engaging instruction and ongoing support to students across grades K‑12.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years teaching experience strongly preferred.
• New York State teaching certification strongly preferred.
• Passion for a team‑oriented, mission‑driven school culture.
• Demonstrated success in raising student achievement within KIPP NYC communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan a college preparatory curriculum aligning with NYS standards and school objectives.
• Deliver rigorous daily college preparatory lessons.
• Assess student progress and communicate results to families and colleagues.
• Provide individual and small group instruction until mastery.
• Model KIPP NYC’s character strengths in all interactions.
• Advise a small group of students through high school.
