Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a high school student to assist senior trades staff with routine maintenance, repairs and installations in facilities. You will perform basic tasks such as measuring, cutting, lifting and preparing work areas, and use hand tools and power tools under supervision following all safety guidelines.

Document work performed, report issues or hazards to supervisors, and follow safety protocols, PPE requirements, and workplace procedures.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in high school.

• Perform basic task including measuring, cutting, lifting, carrying materials, and preparing work areas.


• Use hand tools and power tools under supervision, following all safety guidelines.


• Help troubleshoot equipment issues and support preventive maintenance activities.


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workspaces.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in high school.
