Job summary

Soliant is partnering with a Bakersfield, CA high school district to recruit a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time contract through the remainder of the school year. The role focuses on evaluating and supporting students with speech-language needs within the educational setting. Applicants may be ASHA-certified or CFY candidates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Clinical Fellows, interns, and SLPAs when needed.

Job description

Calling on licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who enjoy working with high schoolers! Soliant has partnered with a high school district in Bakersfield, CA, and is seeking a full-time contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the remainder of the school year.

Requirements

• Both ASHA-Certified candidates and Clinical Fellows will be considered
• Candidates must have either a California SLP license or a Speech Langauge Pathology credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
• Prior schools experience strongly preferred

Pay And Benefits

• Hourly W2 pay of $57 to $73/hr, dependent on experience

• Paid sick leave, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked

As a Speech-Language Pathologist in an education setting, clinicians will:

• Conduct both informal and standardized assessments to determine students' level of speech therapy needs
• Updating progress reports to ensure that students are moving towards their IEP goals
• Write reports based on evaluation results, in accordance with state and federal mandates
• Develop IEP goals in collaboration with District staff and families
• Present evaluation reports and IEP goals at meetings
• In some cases, SLPs may be called upon to supervise Clinical Fellows, student interns (at both the graduate and undergraduate level), and SLPAs
