Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Must provide proof of a minimum of 60 college credit hours, OR pass Paraprofessional Exam.
• OR current active Dorchester District Two Substitute.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with physical tasks and transitions between classrooms.
• Aid instruction by redirecting or praising students during lessons.
• Lead small group activities planned by the teacher.
• Monitor and record behaviors for students with goals or Behavior Plans.
• Attend assigned trainings on Early Release Days.
• Perform simple tasks to support students (sharpen pencils, carry lunch, assist with clothing).
• Maintain professional conduct with students, parents, and staff.
