Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of subject matter, instructional skills, and resources
• Uses varied instructional and management techniques
• Plans lessons considering individual student needs and IEP goals
• Uses district textbooks and curriculum guides for planning
• Implements higher level thinking and real-life applications
• Develops lesson plans aligned with IEP goals
• Maintains safe, positive classroom and campus environment
• Communicates with students and parents about progress
• Participates in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
