Qualifications

• Valid State of Arizona Teaching Certification.
• Meets all certification requirements for the grade level or subject area including proper teaching area endorsements.
• Must pass a background clearance.
• Must obtain an Arizona IVP Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Strategic Plan of Queen Creek Unified School District.
• Plans and implements a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students within the district curriculum.
• Uses effective teaching techniques and materials to implement established curriculum goals and objectives.
• Creates a weekly written lesson plan describing daily learning experiences aligned with curriculum goals.
• Monitors and assesses student progress and provides feedback to students and parents.
• Diagnoses, instructs and evaluates specific student needs and seeks district specialist assistance as required.
• Communicates aims and objectives to students with clear language.
• Maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning and student engagement.
• Assists administration in implementing policies governing student behavior.
• Develops classroom behavior rules and procedures.
• Create educational experiences supporting student potential in personal-social development and decision making.
• Promotes district philosophy, policies and procedures.
• Communicates concerns and ideas with colleagues, students, parents and community professionally.
• Assumes responsibility for supervision of students on school property or during school activities.
• Maintains punctual attendance and professional competence.
• Performs other duties as assigned to advance district priorities.
