Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive learning environment and support students.
• Assist with implementing lessons in the absence of the regular instructor.
• Ensure district policies are observed during activities.
• Create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Supervise all students in the classroom at all times.
• Be familiar with fire exits and safety procedures. Review notes for the day, take attendance and follow lesson plans.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality.
• Demonstrate adaptability and good judgment; use appropriate language on assignments.
• Report for duty 30 minutes early and stay through the assignment including planning time.
