Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
• Valid Florida Teaching Certificate or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a valid Florida Teaching Certificate or appropriate certification.
• Adheres to state statutes, school board policies and administrative procedures.
• Prepares and maintains records and reports as required.
• Supports student learning plans.
• Upholds school rules and administrative procedures.
• Fulfills terms of written contract unless released by the school board.
• Maintains a safe and orderly classroom conducive to learning.
• Instructs assigned classes at designated locations and times.
• Prepares and maintains lesson plans and provides evidence of preparation upon request.
• Works with students to create a positive learning environment.
• Employs instructional techniques and media appropriate to students’ needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited four-year college/university

Valid Florida teacher certification or equivalent
