Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in secondary education and/or science-related major.
• Proficiency in scientific content area, and clear understanding of how to relate content to the real world.
• Experience working with school-aged children (middle or high school aged) in an academic or youth development setting required.
• Experienced teachers must show a proven track record of achievement in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily and long-term lessons to maximize class outcomes.
• Use data to drive short-term and long-term student achievement goals.
• Collaborate with instructional leadership, peers, parents, and students to better serve and meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain high expectations and foster a respectful classroom culture.
• Demonstrate accountability for student outcomes and classroom culture.
