Job Title: High School Science Teacher - Inspire Future Scientists and Innovators

As a High School Science Teacher, you will play a critical role in cultivating scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and practical skills among our diverse student body. You will design and deliver rigorous, engaging, and standards-aligned science instruction that prepares students for college, careers, and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive science curriculum for high school students that meets state standards and reflects cultural responsiveness.
  • Implement inquiry-based and hands-on learning experiences to engage students in scientific concepts and practices.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including English language learners.
  • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community partners to support student success.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of instructional practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Education.
  • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Science.
  • English Learner Authorization and/or Bilingual Authorization (BCLAD or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience teaching high school science, preferably in diverse or bilingual settings.
  • Strong classroom management skills and commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Passion for mentoring and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.
