The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, an enthusiasm for teaching, and a commitment to student success. This Biology Teacher will create innovative lesson plans, facilitate hands-on laboratory experiences, and assess student progress effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education, or related field.
• Valid Michigan secondary education certification with endorsement in Biology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
• Strong knowledge of biological concepts and laboratory practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that students understand scientific methodology.
• Develop assessments and monitor student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, labs, and presentations.
