Job summary

The role reports to the school principal and is governed by the district’s policies.

A Colorado teaching license with related field endorsement is required, with preference for bilingual candidates.

• Ability to follow oral and written directions and establish relationships with staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Maintains a discipline and classroom control for a safe learning environment.
• Assists the administration in implementing policies and classroom rules.
• Implements IEPs and coordinates with related services and general educators to meet student needs.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by building administrator(s).
