Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.

Responsabilités

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the locations and at times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets individual needs and abilities; prepares for classes and documents preparation.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students' maturity and interests.
• Supervises students to protect health and safety and safeguards equipment and facilities.
• Assesses student progress and maintains records as required by law and policy.
• Diagnoses learning disabilities and coordinates with district specialists.
• Maintains classroom rules and conducts consistent with district policies; fosters student behavior standards.
• Makes time available to students and parents outside instructional hours.
• Plans and supervises work for aides and volunteers; evaluates performance.
• Attends staff meetings and participates on committees.
