Alexandria City Public Schools is seeking a licensed School Psychologist for a High School at the 10-month, 195-day teacher level in Alexandria, Virginia. The role supports students’ cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral development and reports to the Lead Psychologist.

The vacancy location is Alternative Education, with immediate starting date. Qualifications include a Master's in a related field and a Virginia PPS license or eligibility to obtain it upon hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree in related field required.
• Virginia PPS license with School Psychology endorsement or eligibility to obtain on hire.

Responsabilités

• Administers standardized assessments to measure development and eligibility.
• Assesses functional capabilities and environments to tailor recommendations.
• Communicates with students, parents, teachers, and staff to address concerns.
• Compiles data from multiple sources to prepare evaluation reports.
• Collaborates with professionals to develop service plans and recommendations.
• Coordinates with community agencies for appropriate treatment options.
• Counsels students, parents, and guardians to support school success.
• Develops behavior plans and curriculum modifications as part of treatment programs.
• Supports school-wide program development and evaluation to meet district goals.
