Job summary

Community Workforce Solutions is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Pre-Employment Transition (Pre-ETS) Instructor to lead engaging classroom instruction for high school students with disabilities.

You will design and deliver lessons that prepare students for employment, post-secondary education, independent living, and lifelong success while building meaningful relationships with students, schools, and community partners throughout Onslow County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field preferred.
• Experience teaching, training, or facilitating instruction.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel between Onslow County school sites and locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver instruction for students ages 14-22 in Pre-ETS.
• Teach the five areas of Pre-ETS: Job Exploration Counseling, Work-Based Learning, Workplace Readiness, Self-Advocacy, Postsecondary Education Counseling.
• Adapt instruction to varied learning styles and student needs.
• Foster student confidence, independence, and workplace readiness.
• Collaborate with facilitators, school personnel, and community partners.
• Travel between multiple high schools throughout Onslow County.
• Maintain documentation and program records.
