Job summary

Allentown School District is seeking a High School Physics teacher at William Allen High School. The position provides a salary range of $59,493 - $77,343 and requires Pennsylvania instructional credentials and clearances.

The teacher will collaborate with staff, participate in the district’s education program, and maintain records, while upholding school rules and professional standards to support student learning across 51 countries represented in ASD.

Qualifications

Hold a valid and active Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate.
Criminal history and child abuse clearances (Acts 34, 151 and FBI).
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily as listed by the board and district.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with other staff members in the education process and assists with the smooth operation of the building.
Displays interest in and participates in the total school program.
Exhibits dependability and punctuality in assigned duties and attendance at meetings.
Maintains open communication with administrators, parents, students, staff and the public.
Maintains and updates written records and reports within established timelines.
