Qualifications

• Evidence of content knowledge shown by: a posted degree in physical education; or a posted minor in physical education; or passing Praxis Subject Assessments scores in Physical Education; or a certificate endorsement in physical education.

Responsibilities

• Describe their philosophy of education and its relation to practice.
• Organize class time for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, work time and assessment.
• Teach with respect for students' individual and cultural characteristics.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized or small group instruction.
• Use current technology to enhance instruction and for record-keeping/research.
• Assess and report pupil progress and maintain records.
