Qualifications

• Must possess NJ DOE teaching certificate in Physical Education and Health.
• Bachelor's degree in education; Master's preferred.
• NJ Driver's license or ability to provide own transportation.
• Experience teaching physical education at the high school level preferred.
• Knowledge of differentiated instruction and assessment methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers Physical Education classes aligned with district goals.
• Teaches physical fitness, rhythm and dance, coordination and agility, exercise and sports.
• Fosters leadership, teamwork, responsibility and social skills; provides progress feedback.
• Assesses student growth and adapts instruction for varying needs, including special education.
• Keeps up with current educational developments through professional learning.
• Maintains accurate records of grading and attendance as required by policy.
