Job summary

Vista Meadows Academy in Dearborn Heights, MI, is seeking a passionate Math Teacher for the upcoming school year to join our team. You will create engaging lessons, align instruction to state standards, and support diverse learners in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Michigan secondary teaching certificate/endorsement in mathematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to planning and assessment.
Strong knowledge of math curriculum and state standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive math lesson plans aligned to standards.
Develop assessments and monitor student performance via tests, quizzes, projects, presentations.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in professional development.
Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to support the school's mission.
Maintain a safe and positive classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
