Uncommon High School Math teachers work in grade and content teams to push students toward being self-guided learners and to develop mastery in Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus, preparing for AP and college

Qualificações

Responsabilidades

• Instruction: You’ll use a Math curriculum to teach content that may include Algebra, Geometry, or Calculus and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate level coursework.
• Instruction: You’ll support students as they solve problems and think critically.
• Instruction: You’ll use your love of mathematics to foster confidence and meaningful engagement with the subject for students.
• Instruction: You’ll cultivate the ability to construct and justify viable arguments using reasoning, math vocabulary, tools, and postulates.
• Instruction: You’ll use your passion for mathematics to build a community of self‑guided learners where students feel safe, confident, and engaged.
• Instruction: You’ll work with the Math department to determine academic and engagement goals for students.
• Data Analysis: You’ll meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
• Data Analysis: You’ll learn and implement strategies to differentiate instruction for all learners in your classroom.
• School Culture: You’ll build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard.
• School Culture: You’ll partner with students’ families to ensure appropriate resources are available to support their child's learning needs.
• School Culture: You’ll engage in practice-based professional development, mentorship, and coaching sessions.
• School Culture: You’ll participate in weekly, school-wide meetings to cultivate community, model our core values, and encourage student achievement.
• School Culture: You’ll partner with your grade level team to develop academic goals and practice instructional strategies.
