STEAD School is seeking an energetic Math Instructional Guide to co-create and vision alongside students and adults in a dynamic, project-driven learning environment.

The role emphasizes age-appropriate math instruction, real-world applications, and a strong emphasis on professional growth while maintaining high standards of classroom excellence in a charter school setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• State accreditation and licensing preferred.
• Masters degree highly preferred.
• Ongoing maintenance of all requirements regarding professional courses and in-services required.
• Prior teaching experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and delivers an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom.

Essential Functions:

• Plans, develops, and delivers an engaging, age-appropriate course of study in the classroom, adhering to The STEAD School's best practices, state and school district curriculum guidelines.
• Designs and delivers individual lesson plans of various mathematical courses including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and other advanced math subjects using a variety of teaching techniques and appealing to various learning styles.
• Illustrate the real-world applications of mathematical concepts to help students understand the practical significance of what they are learning.
• Prepares materials for lessons, assignments, and tests; evaluates, corrects, and grades student performance.
• Plan, organize and execute field trips and accelerator week curriculum and events.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree is required
• State accreditation and licensing preferred
• Masters degree highly preferred
• Ongoing maintenance of all requirements regarding professional courses and in-services required.

Experience:

• Prior teaching experience is highly preferred.
