Job summary

Swampscott High School is seeking a dynamic MATH TEACHER to join its Mathematics Department. The educator will teach Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II and related courses to high school students, fostering a growth mindset and equity in instruction.

The ideal candidate holds a Math degree, MA teaching license, SEI endorsement, and at least two years of HS teaching experience. Familiarity with Aspen, Zoom, Google Classroom, and G-Suite Apps is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Math required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• MA Math 9-12 teaching license
• SEI Endorsement
• At a minimum, two years of high school teaching experience
• Knowledge of Aspen, Zoom, Google Classroom, and G-Suite Apps.
• A growth mindset
• Familiarity with Smartboard technology, Promethean board technology, and using graphing calculators/Desmos.
• Experience designing and implementing engaging lessons.
• Commitment to cultural competency
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all stakeholders including, students, colleagues, and families/caregivers

Responsibilities

• Teach high school mathematics, including Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II.
• Prepare and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons.
• Collaborate with the Mathematics Department to support student learning and growth.
