Wayne Preparatory Academy Charter School, Inc. is seeking a High School Math Teacher for Goldsboro, NC.

The candidate will teach mathematics to grades 9–12, develop aligned lesson plans, and maintain records in accordance with district and school procedures. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field and at least 2 years of high/middle school teaching experience, plus a valid teaching license.

Qualifications

Wayne Preparatory Academy Charter School, Inc. is hiring a High School Math Teacher (Goldsboro, NC).

Teach mathematics to students in grades 9-12. Facilitates student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through the implementation of approved school curriculum. Develops and delivers lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with school and district goals and objectives. Creates and maintains a safe, flexible, and effective classroom environment conducive to individualized and small-group instruction and student learning. Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning, documents student progress, achievement, and attendance, and adjusts instructional methods to address individual student needs. Provides feedback to students, parents, and school administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate academic records in compliance with school procedures and applicable laws, encouraging parental involvement, enforcing standards of student conduct, collaborating with faculty through meetings and committees, selecting appropriate instructional materials and supplies, supervising students during school activities outside the classroom, administering standardized tests in accordance with district programs, participating in professional development activities, and performing other related duties as assigned by school administration.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (or foreign equivalent) and 2 yrs experience as high/middle school teacher. Must hold a valid State Educator's or Teaching License/Certificate.

Salary: $42,960/yr.
