  • Must be a minimum 16 years of age to be eligible.
  • Must be enrolled in an HBI PACT Core program - Students should confirm with high school counselor that their program supports participation in a registered apprenticeship.
  • Must be willing to provide a transcript or proof of enrollment if requested.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling pre-fabricated electrical construction material.
  • Assembling and pre-wiring light fixtures, receptacles, and switches.
  • Bending and threading conduit.
  • Fabricates support structures by cutting, bending, and welding components.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Role Summary:

Join our NEW Industrial Manufacturing Technician (IMT) Registered Apprenticeship and gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities you need to have a successful manufacturing career! Interstates is currently seeking motivated student individuals to join our program as Production Tech Apprentices. This role will provide direct support to our Fort Collins manufacturing operations.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Displays a positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • Takes the initiative to learn systems and processes
  • Takes a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Assembling pre-fabricated electrical construction material
  • Assembling and pre-wiring light fixtures, receptacles, and switches
  • Bending and threading conduit
  • Fabricates support structures by cutting, bending, and welding components
  • Other duties may be assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be High School Sophomore or Junior
    • The IMT Apprenticeship requires a full year for completion.
  • Must be a minimum 16 years of age to be eligible

Work Schedule:
  • Able to commit ~10-20 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer
  • Expected to stay in the program for approximately one year
  • Willing to participate in required apprenticeship coursework (safety, math, tools, workplace skills)

  • Ability to follow safety rules and work in a production environment
  • Reliable transportation to the Fort Collins facility
  • Ability to meet physical requirements (lifting, standing, etc.)
Compensation:

Compensation for this position is $17.31/hourly

Location & Travel:

The position is located in Fort Collins, CO. Applicants must be local to the area and willing to commute to the worksite.
