Job summary

Cheney High School in Cheney, Washington is seeking an Instructional Paraeducator for the 2026-27 school year. The position is 7 hours per day, Monday–Friday, with start times around 7:20 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Duties include general classroom support and IEP-related tasks across multiple settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing score on the state-approved Paraeducator Assessment.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or provided by District.
• WSP/FBI criminal history background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support instructional activities and classroom routines.
• Work with individual and small groups of students.
• Supervise students in multiple settings (cafeteria, hallways, buses).
• Administer materials and perform clerical duties as needed.
• May administer medications per policy and supervision.
