Rock Ridge Public Schools is seeking a High School Indigenous Education Coordinator for Rock Ridge High School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on tutoring and support for Indigenous students and serving as a cultural liaison for those in special education.

Under the Indigenous Education Director and principal, you will coordinate with teachers, families, and schools, assist with parent involvement and events, and address the unique educational needs of Indigenous students.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associates of Arts degree required.
• Experience working with American Indigenous families preferred.
• College degree is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and support services for students in grades 7–12 in the Indigenous Education program.
• Serve as a cultural liaison for students in special education.
• Maintain contact with teachers regarding student assignments, progress and concerns.

Brief Job Description: The Indigenous Elementary Indigenous Education Coordinator providestutoring and support services for students in grades 7-12 who are in the Indigenous Education program. Serves as a cultural liaison for students in special education. Maintains contact with teachers for student assignments, progress and concerns. Serves as a liaison between students, families and schools. Assists with parent involvementand family special events. Work is performed under the supervision of the Indigenous Education Director and principal.
Education and Experience: Minimum of an Associates of Arts degree required, preferably with experience working with American Indigenous families. College degree is highly desirable.
Special Requirements: Knowledge of the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indigenous students.
