Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher earned academic degree.
• Licensed by the MA DESE in Massachusetts as a History/Social Studies Teacher covering grades 9-12.
• SEI Endorsement on DESE License Required.
• Knowledge of MA History and Social Science Curriculum Framework, Common Core State Standards, and integration of reading/writing in the content area.
• Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for instructional and general duties as indicated by the Principal and directives of the Superintendent or designee.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the subject matter and pedagogy, engaging students in learning.
• Provides differentiated learning experiences to meet diverse learning needs.
• Develops well-structured lessons with measurable outcomes and engaging activities.
• Designs units with measurable outcomes and higher-order thinking tasks.
• Administers assessments and uses results to inform instruction.
• Maintains a safe, respectful, culturally proficient learning environment.
• Collaborates with families and colleagues to support student learning.
