Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a motivated athletic leader to provide coaching instruction at a large public high school, supervising varsity and junior varsity teams as needed. The role includes ensuring compliance with VHSL rules, managing equipment, and coordinating with the athletic director to support program needs.

The position emphasizes communication with students, staff, parents, and the community, along with handling financial items and participating in fund-raisers.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive environment.
• Knowledge of athletic program regulations and VHSL rules.
• Skilled in managing individual, group, and organizational interactions.
• Ability to handle paperwork accurately and on time.

Responsabilités

• Provide instruction in all phases of the game, sport, or activity.
• Work with student athletes to improve personal and teamwork skills.
• Guide and encourage students to benefit from participation.
• Ensure compliance with district and VHSL rules and policies.
• Promote the school district in the community and foster partnerships.
• Collaborate with the athletic director to assess program needs.
• Oversee use and care of athletic facilities and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team, staff, parents, admin, and media.
• Handle financial items for the athletic program, including inventory and fees.
• Participate in athletic department fund-raisers.
• Complete VHSL eligibility forms and maintain records.
