Job summary

Chicopee Comprehensive High School seeks an Assistant Coach for Girls Volleyball for Fall 2026. The role reports to the Director of Athletics and Building Principal and operates under the Unit A Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Athletic Trainer, conducting pre/post season activities, and promoting the sport across school levels while upholding district and MIAA policies.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
• Annual concussion training required.
• Experience as a high school coach preferred.
• MIAA sponsored coach's course if not experienced.

Responsibilities

• Attend Pre/Post Season PVIAC meetings.
• Attend pre-season meetings for coaches, parents and students.
• Maintain inventories of equipment and uniforms; retrieve items at season end.
• Varsity coaches evaluate non-varsity coaches in that sport.
• Provide written coaching policy documentation.
• Coordinate with Athletic Trainer on injuries and safety issues.
• Enforce Heat Modification Policy with Athletic Trainer.
• Communicate game results to the press.
• Promote the sport to middle schools and recreation teams.
• Reinforce Chicopee School Committee policies and MIAA rules.
