Job summary

Madison Consolidated Schools in Indiana seeks an Athletic Coach to guide student-athletes in a specific sport, coach skills, help condition athletes, and enforce safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Appropriate knowledge of sport and rule of specific sport wishing to coach.
• Prior coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and athletic department.
• Maintain knowledge and administration of Madison Student Athletic Handbook & Coaches Handbook.
• Follow all IHSAA policies as dictated by IHSAA By-Laws.
• Complete IHSAA rule meetings on time.
• Complete National Federation of High School Sports courses.
• Complete CPR/AED certification.
• Know academic eligibility requirements for athletes.
• Schedule transportation for games and practices.
• Keep accurate statistics.
• Pursue professional development opportunities.
• Attend regular athletic meetings with athletic director and coaching staff.
• Maintain athletic equipment and facilities.
• Handle budgeting and fundraising tasks.
• Assist with off-season conditioning.
• Proactively communicate with the athletic department about student-athletes and parents.
