Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking an assistant girls basketball coach to support the high school program under the supervision of the head coach and athletic director. You will help plan practices, mentor student athletes, and foster teamwork, discipline and personal growth.

The role requires knowledge of girls basketball, a valid Colorado Coaching Certificate, CHSAA coaching registration, and CPR/AED certification.

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of girls basketball.
CPR & AED Certification required.
CHSAA coaching test and CHSSA coaching registration required.
Experience in teaching, coaching and/or sport participation.

Responsibilities

Reports to the head coach and the high school athletic director.
Supervises all aspects of their level of the program under the direction of the head coach.
Schedules and attends practice sessions, develops training plans.
Ensures each athlete is cleared from the athletic office to participate.
Complies with CCSD, Centennial League and CHSAA rules and regulations.
Monitors attendance, behavior and academic status of athletes.
Ability to use approved first-aid and CPR skills.
Recognizes concussion signs and removes players as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
