Job summary

Eckerd Connects in Kittrell, NC is seeking an HSE/HSD Instructor to deliver instruction in designated subjects within a Job Corps setting. You will foster a constructive learning environment, motivate students, and uphold high classroom standards to support credential attainment and career readiness.

Qualifications include NC teaching certification, a valid driver's license preferred, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

  • Certified to teach in state of North Carolina.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with policy.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • The HSE/HSD Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
  • Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom setting to insure maximum student motivation.
  • Maintains a high degree of discipline within the classroom setting in order to insure maximum learning.
  • Establishes a high degree of student/instructor rapport.
  • Utilizes all possible curriculum resources available.
  • Maintains student personnel folders.
  • Records and forwards daily attendance to the Student Records area.

Annual Salary: $46,976 - $52,195

Duties & Responsibilities
  • The HSE/HSD Instructor performs as an instructor in a regular classroom setting, presenting instructions in designated subject area.
