Weld Re-9 School District in Ault, Colorado, is seeking a High School English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at Highland High School. The role is exempt (FLSA), with 185 days and about 40+ hours weekly.

Salary follows the Licensed Salary Schedule and may be prorated based on days remaining in the year. Responsibilities include delivering standards-based instruction, planning lessons, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with the department and administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with teaching certification preferred but not required.
• Endorsement, certification, degree, passing PRAXIS score, or being highly qualified in area of instruction is preferred but not required.
• Colorado Teaching License eligibility; alternative pathways considered.

Responsabilités

• Develop course content in relation to the Colorado Academic Standards.
• Plan, organize, and implement effective instructional strategies and lessons.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues in department and building-level administration.
• Develop individualized lessons and programs for students as needed.
• Communicate students' academic progress and needs with appropriate stakeholders.
• Administer, edit, proofread, and grade student work in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
