Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in the area of expertise.
• Knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate activities.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Digital fluency is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Responsabilités

• Works to enhance the educational experiences of students by creating a supportive learning environment and using developmentally appropriate materials and practices.
• Promotes active learning using structured and unstructured activities that foster the social, physical, cognitive, and emotional development of students.
• Implements the approved curriculum and uses appropriate learning activities designed to foster learning at each child’s developmental level.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to each pupil’s needs.
• Maintains records of students’ educational progress and summarizes marks for reporting purposes.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior conducive to learning.
