Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or music practice.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with a specialty endorsement (i.e. JX, JQ).
• Training in CRPBIS and related instructional methodologies.
• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of music.
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction.
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions.
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment.
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission.

• Frequent verbal communication is required to instruct students, lead meetings, and collaborate with staff and families.

• Occasional bending, reaching, or sitting on the floor to interact with students.
• Regular use of computers and instructional technology for planning, instruction, and communication.
• Must be able to lift or carry instructional materials and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
