Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
• New York State Teaching Certification required.
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive pedagogy and equity in the classroom.
• Ability to manage diverse learners and create inclusive, rigorous lessons.

Responsibilities

• Assume a high level of personal responsibility for the progress of all students.
• Create academically rigorous and culturally relevant lesson plans, materials, and assessments, and differentiate as needed.
• Execute specially designed lesson plans guided by clear objectives and assessed for mastery.
• Teach engaging, rigorous, and relevant lessons daily.
• Communicate effectively with scholars, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create and refine schoolwide systems and routines.
• Develop and manage individualized behavior support plans as needed.
