Lawrence USD 497’s Lawrence High School is seeking a Drama Assistant Director for the high school program. The role supports drama rehearsals, oversees technical and physical theatre demands, and helps coordinate productions, including a potential musical, under district guidelines.

The position is a twelve-month supplemental contract with a stipend; incumbents may receive hourly pay for classified staff hours.

Qualifications

• Internal certified candidates preferred
• Experience in dramatic instruction preferred
• Experience includes technical aspects of theatre productions

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision and organization of all high school drama rehearsals and workdays.
• Assist with coordination of all technical, electrical and physical theatre demands.
• Minimum activities per school year: three dramatic productions, one may be a musical.
• Support and facilitate established decisions and policies of the school.
