Job summary

Innovation Charter High School in New York City seeks a passionate, equity-minded Computer Science & Software Engineering Teacher (Grades 9-12) to lead the SEP program—an aligned sequence in programming, app design, and game building culminating in an AP course.

You will deliver a rigorous, inclusive CS curriculum, collaborate with SPED co-teachers to ensure access for all students, and contribute to a collaborative culture focused on growth and equity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and NY teaching certification or active pathway toward certification.
• Fluency, or ability to become fluent, in Scratch, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, p5js, and C++.
• Familiarity with physical computing, embedded electronics, 3D design and printing, and robotics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inclusive, standards-based computer science instruction for grades 9–12.
• Collaborate with special education co-teachers to meet IEP mandates.
• Use data to drive instructional decisions and improve student outcomes.
• Plan and lead experiential learning activities and student advisory.
• Support a collaborative adult culture through feedback and coaching.
