Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Valid Tennessee teaching license with the appropriate content endorsement to teach Chemistry, or a valid out-of-state license that can be transferred to Tennessee within 90 days, or on track to certification in Tennessee.
  • Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with diverse student populations or urban settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons aligned to standards with clear objectives and assessments.
  • Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to internalize content, teaching moves, and classroom management.
  • Collaborate with grade-level teams, content teams, and professional development throughout the year.
  • Execute school-based duties such as student conferences, arrival/dismissal, transitions, lunch duty, and other assignments from leadership.
