Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree, a valid South Carolina teaching certificate for the appropriate level, and a valid driver’s license.

Formación

• Requires Bachelor's degree and valid South Carolina teaching certificate for the appropriate teaching level.
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

Responsabilidades

• Meets and instructs assigned classes at the locations and times designated.
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Prepares for classes assigned and shows written evidence of preparation upon request.
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals with clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media suited to the students' needs and capabilities.
• Assesses student progress regularly and provides progress reports as required.
• Maintains accurate records as required by law and district policy.
• Assists administration in implementing policies governing student life and conduct.
• Develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and maintains order fairly.
• Makes provisions to be available to students and parents outside instructional hours when required.
• Plans and supervises assignments for teacher aides and volunteers and evaluates their performance.
• Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on staff committees.
