Job summary

Wray School District RD-2 is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the head coach in developing a successful sports program. The role requires CHSAA coaching certification or teaching license and current First Aid/CPR certification.

You will help ensure district and league policy adherence and represent the district professionally. The position emphasizes safety, supervision, and collaboration with the athletic department.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Policy adherence: ensure compliance with district policies and league rules.
• Certification requirements: maintain CHSAA coaching certification and required licenses.
• Practice planning: assist with daily written practice plans in coordination with head coach.
• Equipment & facilities: assist with care, inventory, storage of equipment and facility prep.
• Supervision: ensure safety and discipline of athletes before, during, and after activities.
• Communication: maintain regular communication with the head coach.
• Support: promote district programs and follow administrative decisions.
• Administrative duties: follow coaching handbook and chain of command.
• Professional development: attend coaching clinics and maintain CHSCA membership.
