Job summary

Freedom Prep Middle - Brownlee in Memphis, TN seeks a high school Biology teacher to develop mastery of biology concepts and assess progress through ongoing evaluations.

The teacher collaborates with colleagues to align science curricula across grade levels, uses data to inform instruction, and fosters a classroom culture grounded in Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Excellence, and Community. A Tennessee teaching license is required or active eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Master's Degree strongly preferred.
• Tennessee teaching license or reciprocity with TN is required/eligible.
• Experience teaching in urban school settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Biology instruction to high school students and assess progress through ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to align science curricula across grades.
• Use data analysis to inform instructional decisions and monitor student growth.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with families about student performance.
• Create and maintain a positive classroom environment supporting Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Excellence and Community.
