Job summary

North Allegheny School District seeks candidates to fill a Biology Long Term Substitute Teacher position at North Allegheny Intermediate High School, effective January 12, 2027 until June 1, 2027. Pennsylvania General Science Teaching Certification is required.

Qualifications

• Pennsylvania General Science Teaching Certification is required.
• Current clearances include Child Abuse History Clearance, PA Criminal Record Check, Mandated Reporter of Child Abuse Training.
• Pre-employment Physical and TB Test required.
• Interested candidates must apply by October 4, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Establish a rigorous, subject-specific program for Biology at North Allegheny Intermediate High School.
• Build rapport with students and motivate them to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge for a strong foundation for learning.
• Create and maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.
